Merle Alisa Oxman

Merle Alisa Oxman, 41, took her own life on February 8, 2008, due to the effects of postpartum psychosis following the birth of her beloved daughter, Teadora. Teadora was born in June 2007. Ms. Oxman, a midwife herself, understood that postpartum depression and psychosis are possibilities for women following birth.
