Leigh Ann Looney
Leigh Ann Looney died of a stroke after being prescribed the drug Parlodel to stop her breast milk production. According to a story published August 23, 1992, in the Modesto Bee, her family members found that the drug had been implicated in blood-clotting and strokes in other women who had been given it during the postpartum period.
Leigh Ann's husband, Gary, told the reporter that neither he nor his wife had been informed of any risks associated with taking the drug.
