Judy Trunnell

Judy Dominguez Trunnell, 33, passed away of May 5, 2009, in Harlingen, Texas. She was the first known woman in the United States to die of complications from the H1N1 flu virus. She quickly slipped into a coma. A cesarean was performed, and she died two weeks later. Her healthy baby daughter survives.

Judy was a teacher of disabled children.
